This will not be an all-night drawing party but instead a more directed, shorter session. Please bring paper and drawing materials.

New people, please just come and participate even if you were not in the first class! Just click on "I'm interested" to register.
The first drawing night proved a success so we are organizing the next one right away. This one starts a bit earlier, so that kids and people who cannot stay overnight can also participate. Again, you may come as you please: drop in and out, or stay the whole time... We have ideas of dancing in the dark with flashlights and drawing at the same time, drawing to music... and you can introduce yours!
And everyone, bring materials to draw on/with (pens, pencils, cardboard, papers, whatever), music, pillows and bedding to take naps if you wish.

One, two, three, draw!
Participants would brainstorm and choose among the many forms of drawing, both that have been tested, and have yet to be tried...
for example:
Collective / Individual
Exercises / Games
Music/Dance
Life/Imagination
Marathon / Exhibition
We will facilite this class on a rotational basis, mostly using materials at hand...
All levels of experience are welcome, there will be no formal critiques, and the choice of showing your work or keeping it to yourself is up to you.
Suggestions for modifications/additions, such as looking at historical context/examples through readings, lectures, field trips, etc. are welcome!

This Friday, from 9pm - 9am... At this first event we'll play the movie 'Stalker', make some pizza and draw all over paper-covered walls... I'd love the idea of doing this as an all-night thing, perhaps here at Ptarmigan. We line the walls/floors/ceilings with white paper, make a big pile of crayons pencils pens markers pastels etc.... and then just go at it. 9 PM til 9 AM. Low key, quiet/calm music, food, you can sleep at times, everyone brings pillows and pajamas....
